A Nation And A People At The Crossroads

Coming to the fore in the 9^th Century before Christ to confront the wicked king Ahab and his wife Jezebel, was the desert firebrand and prophet Elijah. He challenged the king, his false prophets of baal, and the people, in a great showdown. “How long will you falter between two opinions?” It is God’s way of separating the sheep from the goats, and the wheat from the tares.

Throughout history and in every generation, there come ‘line in the sand moments’, where people are called and confronted to make a decision that will reflect a spiritual viewpoint. Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution released in 1859, sent shockwaves that still reverberate to this day. Abortion, euthanasia, marriage in Australia, and Israel, are all subjects which challenge people on what they really believe.
