A Church Alive is worth the drive

I am excited about what God is doing and about to do in your life and the life of the church at large. Across the North and the Western regions of Charters Towers, I sense that God’s set time to favour this area of Australia and its people has come. A hunger for God, His presence, His holiness and His power will draw people again to the household and life of faith.

The fledgling church described in the book of Acts, was a spirit filled church, a word- based church, signs and wonders followed the believers and prayer and boldness was the order of the day. They prayed daily, they fellowshipped daily, they searched the scriptures daily and the Lord added to their number daily.

Pressure and persecution did not cause the church to buckle, but on the contrary caused the believers to draw on the unseen resources of God and caused the apostle Paul to declare, “I know in whom I have believed. 2 Tim 1:12

Faith and a believing heart will see the promises of God materialise despite our situations and circumstances. To reign as kings in the realm of life (Rm 5:17) fulfils the Genesis 1:28 command, to be fruitful and multiply: fill the earth, subdue it and have dominion….

Counsellor, Comforter, Keeper
When reading Psalm 23, we can almost see David the shepherd boy who was to become Israel’s greatest king, being himself shepherded by God. He was able to boldly declare “I shall not want”, and that He (That’s God) makes me to lie down in green pasture, He restores my soul, and He leads me in the path of righteousness.
All these and more, we too can expect when we first declare that “The Lord Is My Shepherd.” As the Lord Shepherds us, He is a great comfort to us as the anxious and weary soul cries out to the Great Shepherd. God’s word as well as the Holy Spirit who is given to those who believe, are a constant present help in times of need.

Ever Ready And Ever Prepared

Today, more than any period in history, multitudes are without God and therefore without hope in this world. The apostle Peter charges the believer 1 Peter 3:15 Always be prepared to give an answer… to give the reason for the hope that you have.
As believers in Christ we have a living hope within, that the world desperately needs. Being prepared and expectant to share that hope at all times in a state of readiness in life and in our ministry calling. Paul said and even commanded Timothy “Be ready in season and out of season” and “To be watchful in all things.”  Are you ever ready and prepared today?

Stop, Cease And Desist:
A man in a uniform raises a white gloved hand and instantly the tide of traffic, the cars, trucks and semi-trailers come to a halt. His very little comparative physical power and strength  is not needed as he has something far greater, that being imbued with authority. How much more so the children of God who understand their authority given by Christ.
Authority, delegated power has been given and made available to the born again believer in Christ, the nano second one becomes a new creation. How much differently do we pray from a position now of authority and privilege, seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father.

Preach The Gospel And Deliver The Nations
20 years after Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection, the Apostle Paul and his small team, having been prevented by the Holy Spirit from further ministry in Asia, were now to embark across the Aegean Sea to not just another nation but to the whole continent of nations of Europe.
What we now know as the West, was delivered from thousands of years of paganism, witchcraft and the occult. By what power and message could change and deliver the people? Acts chapters 16 and 17 reveal to us that Paul and the team Preached The Word, Preached Christ and Preached The Gospel. Should we do no less to see our nation, world and generation repent and believe the gospel?

Exceedingly, Abundantly, Above
When we are born again, our spirit which was dead to God, is made new in a moment in time. Our soul, being our mind, will and emotions however is transformed; a continuing work that God promises to accomplish and complete.
In regard to Gods amazing promises to the believer, our natural mind finds it hard to accept, for the promises are so vast, far reaching, and incomprehensibly good. The exceeding, abundant nature of Christs ability and works, toward us, is according to the dynamic and explosive power of God within us.

Charters Towers Is Having A Move Of God
When you have a vision from God for your life, marriage, family, business, your church and community, what are you going to do with it? Doing nothing and the vision remains a pipe dream. What do I do if I don’t even have a vision?
The word of God and the God of the word has much to say to get you on your way for 2025. Position yourself to hear from God, write the vision, believe and speak the vision, declare and meditate on the vision, live and breathe and wage the good warfare, contending for what God wants to do in you, through you and for you.

The Tree Of Life.
In the perfect conditions of the Garden Of Eden and in its midst were placed two trees; the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil and the Tree of Life. Adam and Eve were never deprived of the ability to choose and exercise their free will, and neither are we. In the bibles' grand finale in the final chapter, we see again the Tree of Life bearing fruit for the healing of the nations.
Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, prayed vehemently, “Not My will but Yours be done.” Jesus’ ability to choose never stripped from Him, subjected His own will to that of the Father, and freely chose death on the cross, so that you and I can choose life!.

The Impossible Is What We Do Best
In the first chapter of Mark, Jesus said, “repent and believe the gospel.”
Once again, the spiritual power twins work together to produce a divine work in the believer’s heart and life, when we repent and believe.
The repentant man falls to his knees and acknowledges that without God he is nothing and can do nothing. Having emptied himself of himself, he now stands with the DNA of God fused to his own, and now can boldly declare, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Achieving the impossible with Christ is now what we do best.

Blessed Is He Who Is Not Offended
Jesus said to the multitudes “We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; We mourn to you, and you did not lament.” In other words, there is no pleasing you guys. Jesus went on to say,“blessed is he who is not offended because of me.”
Man has a great ability to deflect all responsibility, by taking offense at Jesus and the gospel message, rather than confronting his own sinful nature. The gospel message in not intended to conceal sin. Its intent is to rout out, expose and to deal with sin with all its impurities and imperfections. Sin, dealt with here on earth, will allow you to live with God in Heaven.
